The very comfortable "two
stars"Hotel Guidi is located in Venezia Mestre overlooking the Canal Salso
(salty canal), ancient waterway which connected Venice with the
mainland and where transited goods to be forwarded to the markets of north
Europe; still now you can see the architectures of buildings that they used
like a deposit for those goods and other activity.

The
name of the street "Forte Marghera" is because of the homonymous
fortress, a 18th century construction commissioned from
Napoleon; there are still 5 of them northwards in the lagoon of
Venice. The quarter where is situated the Hotel Guidi, Saint Marks
village, is considered like a small district of Venice (Venetian
meaning: Sestiere), inhabited from ex-Venetian people that here they
transferred their traditions and many old pubs (Bacari) where you
can drink a good glass of wine (ombra de vin) and where you can eat
a curious and fully flavoured little snack (Cichetto).
Venice is at only 6 km from our hotel and you can reach it by public
service bus in only 10 minutes (bus service 24 per 24 hours); the
stopping place is about 100 mts far from the hotel.
