When you arrive at the
podere Le Chiastre you have the sensation that you overlook the valley,
a large meadow seems to do as
balcony on it ,and the little streams bound the property.
Encircled by the green parks
of Tuscain-Emilian Apennine, the farm land spreads out for about 12 hectares
Our territory is very
various: there are woods of Turkey oaks, meadows of sweet herbs and Lucerne
(grass for cows), groves of junipers and dog-roses, several fresh streams
and obviously “ Le Chiastre” , the big typical stones that give the name to
the farm.
You will soon feel attracted by the light and
the large space , by the fragrance of musk , of the sage and the
spontaneous flowers that still grow in the uncontaminated brushwood.
You further will appreciate the comfortable
climate we have at the farm in each season of the year, as we are protected
from the north winds and in bright sunshine all the day.
In the farm there are two buildings used as
residential complex , plus the wood-house, the old well and the warehouse of
agricultural machinery and tools.
The buildings ,were built in 1870, and are
counted among the houses of historical value.
They have been properly
restored giving both relief to the architectonical elements and maintaining
the original materials used in the past when they were built.
Therefore they are completely
made of river stone and chestnut wood duly hand worked. From the old
hayloft it has been made out a large flat with all modern comforts that
now is used as Bed & Breakfast. |
